Ginger biscuits

Ginger biscuits

The recipe for the classic biscuits with a spicy flavor that recall the Christmas period, ideal for accompanying afternoon tea and for the children’s snack.

 

Ingredients:
300g flour
150g butter
120g sugar
1 whole egg and 1 yolk
1 pinch of salt
40g fresh ginger

 

Preparation:
In a bowl pour the sifted flour, create a fountain and add the salt, the soft pieces of butter, the eggs, the previously grated ginger and the sugar. Knead, wrap the ball with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Remove from the fridge and roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Create cookies with the molds and bake at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.

 

Extra tip for you:
For a more spicy variant of the recipe, add the chopped star anise to the dough, chopped star anise and also grated lemon peel as desired. For the sweeter variant add two teaspoons of honey instead.
