L’Insalata dell’Orto
was founded by the Busana family, who had been
traditional farmers for years producing fresh
vegetables, and in 1990 they realised the great
potential of greenhouse crops and extended their
horizons to the processing, transformation and
packaging of range IV products.
The natural development of their farm was to
establish their company, called L’Insalata dell’Orto
S.r.l. in 2000.
However, farming has remained the core focus of the
company philosophy and they have continued to
concentrate on improving their quality and
cultivations, with extensive experiments. The
carefully selected and picked produce all comes from
farms that they own and the final quality of the
packaged products depends on them, giving an added
value by a maximum of 24 hours passing from when
they are picked to when they are finally packaged,
to make sure that the products that reach you are
“directly from the land to the dining table”. In
fact, this “quality time” is the winning factor in
producing top quality vegetables in as little time
as possible to guarantee the freshness of all the
produce.
The company is organised to offer its customers a
wide range of products in different sizes and
weights: maxi-bags and single portions,
shrink-wrapped trays, flow-pack trays, heat welded
bowls, trunks for catering, which are labelled with
home brands for 60% of total production.
L’Insalata dell’Orto
S.r.l. has UNI EN ISO 9002:1994, UNI EN ISO
9001:2000, IFS, BRC certification and in 2007 also
obtained certification for range I and IV packaging
for PRODUCTS COMING FROM ORGANIC FARMING.
The company production cycle is subject to HACCP
procedure controls, monitoring the products and
washing water with periodic microbiological and
chemical analyses.
